Filming Day 2: Part 2

 This blog post I will focus on the other scene we filmed on Saturday. We focused on the scenes inside the car, with Maddie and her 2 neighbors. 

At first, we were going to film in Fatima’s car which was parked in the driveway but once we started filming we realized that the audience could tell that the car wasn’t moving, Due to this, Santina offered to drive her own car with Maria in the passenger seat and Fatima (who had been sitting in the back seat since that is where Maddie is in the scene) filmed the both of them talking excitedly.

We also shot some close-ups of Maddie staring out the window with the camera on the outside and the car parked. These shots weren’t really in our storyboard, but we thought that including them would be a great way to create intimacy between the audience and Maddie while also establishing Maddie’s depression. 

On Monday, we will go over the shots we filmed and see what we need to reshoot and change for our film opening to look more cohesive and professional since there is always room for improvement.
