The first shots we filmed were some of the scenes that happened in Maddie’s room. We filmed in Fatima’s room, which was pretty neutral and would be easy to change to suit Maddie’s character. Additionally, her curtains were pretty thick meaning we could shoot the scene where Maddie closes her curtains and the room is pitch dark. Fatima also has this perfect lamp that would be useful for the scene where Maddie starts writing in her diary.

One problem we encountered was the camera we used to film. During school, we had used Fatima’s digital camera to film but since it had run out of battery on Thursday and Fatima’s brother had taken the charger we needed to find an alternative. Thankfully, we found another camera that might be even better than the other one.
Although we filmed a couple of shots, we are still not sure if they are going to be final. We still need to film the scenes with the diary and other scenes where important mise-en-scene elements like pictures of Maddie’s best friend are seen.
